Our office has chosen to use Semaglutide and Tirzepatide due to being FDA Approved and the large amount of success shown on the market.
Semaglutide mimics the effect of the human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). Which is a natural hormone the body produces in response to eating. It increases insulin secretion, thereby increasing sugar metabolism. The GLP-1 receptors are located in areas of the brain that regulate appetite. Semaglutide activates these receptors to make you feel full and less hungry.
Tirzepatide mimics the efects of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). The GIP hormone stimulates insulin secretion. Together, they help control blood sugar levels, reduce appetite by slowing digestion, and encourage weight loss.
Both methods have shown to have success in clinical trials.
